Health and Welfare Entities

Health and welfare organizations derive their revenue primarily from voluntary contributions from the general public and governmental entities to be used for general or specific purposes connected with health, welfare, or community service. Many of these organizations provide social services and operate internationally and have affiliates around the world.

SBC provides audit and tax services to health and welfare entities. Our business consulting services assist with establishing strong internal controls and business processes. SBC is a member of the Maryland Nonprofits as well as the Nonprofit Roundtable. Additionally, Pamela Gray is a member of the FASB Non Profit Advisory Committee (NAC). The NAC is a standing committee that works closely with the FASB in an advisory capacity to ensure that perspectives from the not-for-profit (NFP) sector are effectively communicated to the FASB on a timely basis in connection with the development of financial accounting and reporting standards.
